watch out pottery barn! I’m about to knock you out….

More like knock you off! ;) Sweet Andrew and I are going to the flea market  and antiquing today. We couldn’t think of a better way to start off the new year or a better way to spend the last day “off” we have together…. I have some certain things in mind that I spotted in the new Pottery Barn catalog….. Y’all know me WAY to well to think that I would pay their prices, so I am going to attempt to politely copy them. These are some things I’m in search of….. I’ll update you when we get home to see if I scored.

Old finials…. Love these! PB price- $19-$39

Chippy White Finial, Small

Beautiful Canisters based on French candy jars….

Ella Glass Canister, Small

Antique Pickling Jars filled with vintage silverware. I LOVE how the rustic jars are paired with the silver. PB $139-$169!

Found Antique Pickling Jars, Small

Rustic candleholders PB $24-$49. I’m thinking we could find some old porch rails or architectural pieces to make some of these. LOVE LOVE LOVE that nest on the candleholder! DIVINE.

Amherst Pillar Holders, Small

Small glass canisters for my vanity…. PB$19-$44

PB Classic Glass Canister

Some old platters to make a couple of these: PB $99

Ceramic Platters with Chalkboard Center, Set of 2

And finally, I want a bunch of silver candlesticks like these, and I AM DYING over that hurricane with the silver base…. This is my MAIN focus tomorrow…. I have some hurricanes, just gotta find the candlesticks that’ll work….

Silver-Plated Hurricane

I don’t intend on having the luck or enough money in my pocketbook to find ALL these items, but I’m gonna get all I can. I think I’m going to give myself a budget of $50 unless I find a piece of furniture…..Then I MAY go to $100 total…. May the thrifting force be with me!

Good luck! You can always do a fake out with a wood candleholder by painting it silver {should it come to that}. I love the chunky PB candleholders you have pictured.

Hope you found some "thrifty treasures," to use Rhoda's term. :) I love PB's look, but don't love the look of my bank account after I've spent $ there. It's so much more fun to be creative and adventurous and find/fix up my own treasures. :)

These are all such beautiful things. Isn't it handy to be resourceful and creative. You can have all of this and more. It truly should be called PoVerty Barn. Sometimes I wonder what they're thinking with those prices. I love the platter idea!! I'm trying that one.
Good luck with your hunt. Can't wait to see what you find!
