my faves of 2009

For those of you who don’t know me I am just getting back into the groove of Loulou after completing 2 international adoptions in 2 years…. Yeah. Those things tend to whoop your booty. Anyway, I started coming out of the fog this year and tackled some DIY projects and started the process of revamping our home. You can read more about MY change here in my “What happened to Loulou?” post. After saying goodbye to 2009 I have TONS of things scheduled for 2010.

My new to do list includes:

Changing my girls’ room to big girl from nursery which includes painting furniture and walls, making ALL the bedding, and finding new accessories.

Updating my living room

painting an antique desk

making Easter dresses and my girls’ spring wardrobes

slip covering an antique sofa I have

slip covering a club chair to coordinate

That is just a sampling of my list. I plan to dive on in next week and get these projects rolling.

Here are a few of my favorites from 2009. I surprised and myself by accomplishing these things, and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

My hutch redo:

These are some great projects. That huge bookcase has got to be my favorite. It is function and beautiful. Your bedroom is also gorgeous, by the way. I'm so glad I met you this year and I can't wait to see what else you do.

Sewing, painting, reinventing furniture ~ is there anything you can't do!? ; ) These are all great projects. You've really got me motivated to write all mine down and have that satisfaction of crossing it off the list.

I love all the projects you posted! I'm about to order the vintage keys from Pottery Barn ($19 for 7 of them...) to do a project similar to yours. :)

Love the site- Happy New year!

Lovely projects. And you are so right that colourful apron/ dress is my favorite too. I bet the little girl that is the proud owner feels like a princess when she is wearing it.
