This is my blog.

The life of Loulou is nothing fancy. It's just me. Loulou. Plain ordinary me. I enjoy visiting blogs that wow me with all their endeavors every now and then, and I am usually impressed with what they've done. The fact is that just isn't me. I won't be dazzling you everyday with projects I've done, furniture I've repainted, things I've invented, or 7 course meals that I just whipped up. You won't find an ebook on the sidebar where I explain to you how to have the crazy sometimes ridiculous life I have. I am a mama to 4 kids waiting for number 5 to join our family, and the majority of the time I have is with and for them. I WILL share my story and how God is moving in our lives. I WILL share a project or something fun I've done here and there, because that side is a part of me. It's just not a big part. I will share the story of 3 failed adoptions and how God has used these painful experiences and changed my life. No bells. No whistles. No fluff. Just The Life of Loulou.

I am apparently a “Junkologist”.

One of my dear friends gave me the title of “junkologist”, and I think I like it! It totally describes me to a t! I love to find me some junk and Loulou it up. Case in point. Take this hideously tacky old office double seat:

I mean, could you find anything UGLIER if you tried?? I don’t think so. I gave this old baby a new coat of aqua spray paint, recovered the cushions, and made new pillows. I covered the seats with drop cloth and made them envelope style, so I can take them off and wash them as they need it. I used some Jennifer Paganelli fabric to make new covers for some old pillows. I love the end result!

Who woulda thunk it? It’s now a precious place to sit….

This project was a total FREEBIE! The bench was given to me, and I had everything else needed to redo it. This piece would’ve ended up in the dumpster, but now she’s a perfect cutie for my porch.

SO, I guess I am a junkologist. Should I trademark that? :)
